Participant’s registration

Panelists could deliver papers in either Spanish or English

Types of Proposals and Submissions

  1. Papers: They can be individually or up to two co-authors. Sign up here
  2. Panels: The minimum number of papers a panel must have is three and not more than four. Papers can be individually or with two co-authors. A commentator can be integrated. Each panel proposal must include a moderator who cannot be a speaker within the same panel. Sign up here
  3. Round tables: Participants do not present a paper; instead, they encourage discussion, contrasting points of view, and ideas on a particular subject. The minimum number of participants is three and must not exceed four. Each proposal must include a moderator who cannot be a rapporteur for the same table. Sign up here
  4. Editorial novelties: Bibliographic or hemerographic editorial products from publications of the years 2020 and 2021 are presented. They are made up of a maximum of four participants, such as presenters or commentators. The presenters are authors or coordinators of the work. Commentators must not have participated in the play. There will be a moderator who should not serve as a presenter or commentator. Sign up here
  5. Workshops: They should address specific and practical issues and promote spaces for integration and coexistence among congress attendees. The goal is for attendees to acquire, perfect or put into practice particular skills or knowledge. They are made up of a maximum of three organizers per workshop. Sign up here
The Organizing Committee suggests the following topics to be considered in the workshops:
  1. Geopolitical Techniques and Tools of Analysis (geography and history)
  2. Research design and methodology
  3. Prospective methods of International Relations. Database usage and processing
  4. Software for quantitative research in International Relations
  5. Software for qualitative research in International Relations
  6. Scientific writing (theses, essays, articles, chapters, books)
  7. Use of social networks in international relations
  8. Professional skills, leadership, and communication
  9. Protocol practice and diplomatic negotiation
  10. Design and elaboration of maps and geo-location via software
  11. International trade practices

Acceptance of proposals

The Mexican International Studies Association will evaluate the proposals. The Organizing Committee will confirm the acceptance of the papers on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Points to consider for participants

  1. The same person may have a maximum of two presentations in panels, in addition to two participations as a presenter, moderator, commentator, or workshop organizer.
  2. The Organizing Committee will consider the preference of schedules of the participants; however, it reserves the right to organize participation according to the needs of the program.
  3. Each session will last 1:20 hrs. Therefore, each participant will have a maximum of 15 minutes of exposure.
  4. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to accept the entries that will make up the final program and the assignment of moderators or commentators.
  5. Upon receipt of the acceptance letter, each participant must cover their registration fee as a means of confirmation. Otherwise, it will be understood that you do not participate and will not be included in the final program. The payment deadline is August 31, 2021.
  6. The registration fee is individual.
  7. Moderators and commentators must also cover their quota to be included in the final program.
  8. The proofs of participation will be sent after the celebration of the Congress
  9. To participate, it is not necessary to be a member of AMEI.
  10. The photographs and videos taken during the virtual conferences may be used for dissemination or promotion activities. By registering, you agree to allow the use of your image.
